Frequently Asked Questions

How much does camp cost?

The cost of camp varies between states due to differences in rental costs of the lodging and therapy facilities we use. Tuition is paid directly to Kris’ Camp. Lodging is typically paid separately by the family directly to the lodge or inn. Please view our calendar page for current pricing.

*Please review our tuition payment and cancellation policies.

What is included in the cost of tuition?

  • Therapy Programs: The tuition fee includes all therapy sessions, parent meetings and tapings, 3 group dinners for the entire family, and a Wine & Cheese Party for staff and parents. Also included in the cost is babysitting by our Assistants/Volunteers during the Wine & Cheese and during your scheduled parent meeting time.

Not included in the cost of tuition is lodging for your family, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners on the days we don’t provide them.**

**Note for funding sources: While lodging is not included in the tuition rates outlined below, lodging is a requirement for all of our out of town therapy campers. Without individual lodging the camper cannot attend camp. Please refer to the costs outlined below for lodging fee estimates.

How can I get help with paying for camp?

Kris’ Camp offers partial scholarships based on income to help some families cover a portion (usually between 8 - 35%) of the total cost of camp. We encourage those who are considering coming to camp, but are hesitant due to costs, to at least apply for a scholarship to see what they would be eligible for. In addition, families should seek out other financial aid sources in their family, community, and state. Several families have been able to cover all camp expenses in this manner.

Please visit our Financial Aid page for detailed information on our scholarship program and other sources of funding. Most of all, please don’t let the costs be the reason you don’t apply to camp. There are ways to raise the money needed given enough advance notice and some creativity, and it is worth it!

We are now set up to take credit cards for all or part of tuition - Visa, Mastercard, and American Express!

Can Kris’ Camp bill my insurance for tuition costs?

At present Kris’ Camp does not bill insurance companies directly for families’ tuition costs. However, we are more than willing to provide any documentation you may need to get prior approval and/or to help you submit claims to your insurance company. Please contact Kathy for help with needed documentation/information.
